Hotellia vastapäätä olevalla aukiolla (Astoria) on metroasema ja raitiovaunupysäkkejä. Erinomainen hotelli, joka henkii sisustukseltaan ja palvelultaan 1900-luvun alkuvuosien "kulta-aikaa". Hyvä sijainti keskustassa, josta hyvät liikenneyhteydet eri puolille kaupunkia. Ystävällinen, nopea ja asiantunteva palvelu. Huone (Deluxe) tilava, siisti ja ajan henkeen sisustettu. Suurkaupungin äänet kuuluivat jonkin verran huoneeseen. Ilmastointi toimi erinomaisesti, vaikka ulkona oli ajoittain +34 astetta lämmmintä. Kaksoisvuode kapeahko kahdelle aikuiselle henkilölle. Aamiainen tuore, runsas ja monipuolinen. Aamiaisella mahdollisuus tilata erilaisia kahvia ja muna-pekoni -yhdistelmiä ilman extrahintaa.

Excellent location, easy local transportation.

Keskeisellä paikalla oleva korkeatasoinen hotelli, josta henkii 1900-luvun tyyliä ja palveluhenkeä. Ystävällinen ja asiantunteva henkilökunta. Palvelu nopeaa. Käyttämämme huone (Deluxe-huone) oli tilava, siisti ja rauhallinen, tosin suurkaupungin äänet kuuluivat jonkin verran sisään. Kaksoisvuode oli ehkä liian kapea kahdelle aikuiselle. Ilmastointi toimi loistavasti, vaikka ulkona oli ajoittain yli +30 astetta. Aamiainen oli maukas, monipuolinen ja runsas.

Underground station is next door as well as the major road junction . Lots of midges in the air in Budapest so leaving window open can be an irritation at times

We stayed here in December 2016 and our stay was amazing! Rooms were dated, but that only added to the classic feel of the hotel. Breakfast was delicious, and the hotel was a great price. Close to many attractions, a subway station, and more. A must stay for those visiting Budapest!

Bad: Nothing Location Tip: Located right in the middle of everything, 5 minutes from the Jewish area, 10min walk from the bridge over to Buda. After deciding to visit Budapest for my husbands 30th birthday, we looked over hotels and chose this one and what a great choice. It's a gorgeous hotel right in the heart of everything. I even asked if they could do anything for my husbands birthday and they put a bottle of bubbly in the room and let us check in early. Very polite staff and so comfortable. Highly recommended.

Very good staff that provide great service. We are very happy that we picked this hotel. It is close to many attractions, walkable distance to Chain bridge, National museum, the market hall, St. Stephen Basilica, the great Synagogue and even the Parliament. It is also close to the Metro that made it easy to go to the Hero squares and try the thermal bath. Easy access from airport to the hotel via a bus and then metro.

Great location, kind and helpful staff, clean room, comfortable bed, strong shower with decent sized bathroom, and a balcony! It was right around the corner from the big Synagogue, close to the grocery stores, and shopping. It was easy to get to all of the sites either on foot or my metro. Price was right!

Good: התארחנו במלון במשך 8 ימים . חוויה מדהימה , מיקום מצוין , נמצא על צומת ראשית ותחנת מטרו ASTORIA משם הגעה נוחה לכל המקומות המרכזיים ברגל / במטרו . ארוחת בוקר טובה מגוונת וטעימה , הכוללת פירות , ירקות וסלטים . צוות המלון אדיב ונכון לעזור בכל שאלה ובקשה , במיוחד בחור בשם LASZLO שעזר לנו בכל שאלה היה סבלני ונעים ( מדבר ברוסית ) . אציין כי חגגנו יום הולדת בזמן שהות במלון וצוות המלון דאג לשלוח בקבוק שמפניה קר לחדר , הפתיע אותנו לטובה :) . חשוב לציין כי הגענו למלון בשעה 11:00 ומיד קיבלנו חדר - ללא המתנה . ( בקשה נשלחה לצ'ק אין מוקדם טרם ההגעה ) . Bad: הרהוט בחדרים מעט מיושן , אך החדרים גדולים ונוחים . ( קומה גבוהה עם מרפסת ) לא היה קומקום - אך לבקשתנו , הביאו מיד .

The food in the restaurant was amazing and afternoon tea and cakes looked good although we did not go in. The rooms were very spacious with comfy beds , the shower was very powerful the only downside to the room was no tea/coffee making facilities but it did have a nice fridge with drinks and nuts in . Fives minutes walk and you are at the river will definitely stay at the hotel on our next visit.

The hotel was very nice, great service and friendly staff. Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Take a walk to the Thermal pools or a dinner cruise.

Good: Wer den Charme stilvoller älterer Hotels mit allen Annehmlichkeite schätzt, ist hier genau richtig. Wir haben schon in vielen Hotels der Welt übernachtet, haben aber noch nie so freundliches und zuvorkommendes Personal erlebt wie hier. Das Personal an der Rezeption hat für alle Probleme ein offenes Ohr und ist gerne behilflich. Man hat uns soger zwei Boys mit zur Metro-Station geschickt, da wir mit einer Gruppenbuchung eines Fahrscheins nicht zurecht kamen. Die Metrostation liegt direkt vor dem Hotel, so dass man bequem alle Sehenswürdigkeiten Budapests anfahren kann. Aber das Hotel liegt so zentral, dass wir meist zu Fuß unterwegs waren. Auch das Essen in dem sehr schönen Restaurant des Hotels ist zu empfehlen. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Bad: Die Zimmer sind leicht in die Jahre gekommen, die Bäder aber modernisiert und sehr sauber.

L' hotel Danubius è situato nel centro di Budapest, vicino alla stazione della metropolitana Astoria e a soli 4/5 minuti a piedi dalla conosciutissima Váci utca , nei pressi della storica Sinagoga e dei tanti mercatini che i turisti adorano . L'albergo Danubius è arredato con uno stile da inizi del 900 ed ho letto che i suoi saloni sono stati utilizzati come set cinematografici per molti films sin dagli anni 50 fino ai giorni attuali anche con attori italiani come Zingarelli ( il famoso Montalbano ). - Confortevole e ben arredata la.mia camera, solerte e composto il servizio, ma il meglio l' albergo lo offre con le sue splendide colazioni continentali che vanno dal salato al dolce ..... dalle salsicce alle torte assortite, dai diversi tipi di latte ai tanti tè, ai diversi yogurt, marmellate,frutta,brioches dolci, vari, tanti tipi di pane, possibilità di ordinare uova ed omelette express....e tutto questo ben di dio viene servito in un bellissimo salone con stucchi dorati lampadari e lumi Bell Epoque.

Bad: The only issue we had was to do with taxi transfer to airport.We asked the hotel to book us a taxi and gave them a card for the company we had used from the airport-Fotaxi. We were told by hotel staff that they were busy but they had booked us another taxi ,we asked how much this would cost and were told it would be 7,500 huf same as taxi we originally wanted to book.However once on the way we realised there was no meter in the taxi though in all other respects it looked like an official taxi.The driver, a young woman was friendly but detoured from the main route though the journey did not take any longer than on the way in.At the airport the driver asked for 12,000 huf which we refused to pay as this was not the price quoted but the smallest we had was a a 10,000 note which she took . Interestingly an elderly couple who left our hotel just before us did not have the same problem but the taxi driver who brought us from the airport warned us about this.It was a sour note to end the trip onand was disappointing in terms of the hotel as in all other respects they were excellent. My advice would be to only use Fotaxi who are very easy to deal with and give you a detailed receipt ,they have an app you can download .

Good: Es war alles in bester Ordnung Bad: Ein Glas Prosecco zum Frühstück gehört bei 4 Sterne Hotels in der Regel schon lange zum Standard. Das haben wir hier noch vermisst. Das nur als Tipp für die Hotelleitung. Sonst war alles so wie es sein sollte.

Ein Hotel in der Budapester City welches bereits beim betreten der Hotel-Lobby seinen unglaublichen Charme vergangener Jahrzehnte verströmt. Der Portier spricht in einem unverkennbaren Dialekt Englisch oder Deutsch, wie man möchte, freundlich und zuvorkommend. Die Zimmer sind sauber mit endlos hohen Decken, die Badezimmer sind sauber und in einwandfreiem Zustand, ich würde sogar soweit gehen und sagen klassisch schön. Das Frühstück war einwandfrei und international genau wie die Belegung eine wunderbare Mischung von Menschen aus aller Welt welches beim Frühstück zu interessanten Gesprächen führen kann, wenn man möchte natürlich. Durch die hervorragende Anbindung an öffentliche Verkehrsmittel sind jegliche Sehenswürdigkeiten sehr leicht auch ohne eigenes Fahrzeug erreichbar. Geschmackvolle Einrichtung im klassischen Stil. Bad: Flygbussar och taxi har svårt att parkera utanför p.g.a. den livliga trafiken. Jag upplevde hotellet, klassiskt elegant med förekommande personal, och en mycket påkostad frukostbuffe i trivsam miljö. Hotellet är dessutom centralt beläget, med goda kommunikationer. Utmärkt!

Loved this hotel, it is clean, perfectly located. Staff is helpful and friendly. View from the top rooms is really nice. We had coffee and tea service in our room. They have a beautiful café next door. the building is a landmark.

Location Tip: Walking distance to the river - take a cruise. Walking distance to the hot spas. Great hotel and we had a great stay. The hotel is a clean, cosy, homely place in a beautiful ornate building, centrally located at the Astoria metro stop and near the river, with easy access to metro, tram and bus transport. We had a lovely spacious room, well serviced, and the easiest safe ever to use. The customer service is outstanding. The staff are friendly and very efficient – the manager Mr. László Zsida made us very welcome, and the other desk staff were very helpful. They gave us advice on tourist activities, and booked the spa, river cruise and bus ride for us. On the last day, we were scheduled to be collected by a bus for the airport but they never showed up. Mr. Attila and the other staff were very helpful – they rang the company, when they wouldn't come they organised a taxi for us, told the taxi driver we needed a receipt and helped us on how to proceed from there. Marvellous hotel, we thoroughly recommend it.

Good: Centralt läge, väldigt nära tunnelbanan. Bara någon minuts promenad till Váci utca. Bekväma rum, även med fönster mot lugnare bakgata. Bad: Vi saknade mer eluttag i dessa moderna tider. Man skulle kunna lösa problemet med en fördelningsdosa på skrivbordet. Det kändes även "fjuttigt" med en ställning för resväskor - två skulle vara bättre, då man inte vill ha precis allt i garderoben.

Historic hotel in the City Centre, Classic styling with super friendly and helpful staff and a fast and efficient concierge service as there is no parking onsite and we had to park on the super busy road out the front. This was made easy with the speedy service provided in grabbing our bags and getting them inside. The front desk spoke English so made communication easy and the facilities inside the hotel were of a high standard. The rooms are clean and spacious although stil ... l retain the historical look and feel with rugs on the floor (which I hate as they move but that’s my personal preference). The shower was good with plenty of warm water and the Wi-Fi and air con spot on, must say although our window opened onto the busy street below we did not hear any road noise. With everything so close we did not eat at the hotel as an easy walk and you were surrounded by up market shops and restaurants, even walking home one night alone I felt safe which was great in such a busy city. We did experience with afternoon teas while staying and they were yummy with great service once again. If you want a hotel in the city centre within walking distance you cannot go past this one.

Good: Hur rent och fint och framför all, bekvämt det var. Bad: Alla tv kanalerna sände nyheter på olika språk, kanske någon filmkanal? Location Tip: Du går ut och hittar tunnelbanan och buss 9, de tar en till det flesta av ställen man kan tänkas besöka. Både parker och matställen finns. Härliga rum med bra,serviceinriktad personal. Hotellet ligger jättebra till allt,nära till mysiga promenader och rummen... wow! Jag kommer deffinitivt bo här igen!

Really good hotel! Friendly staff, great location and wonderfull rooms. I'd stay here everytime I visit budapest.
