Review 08/2024 - Standard Double or Twin Room : * claustrophobic small * window towards the main boulevard/"the city view" =>extremely noisy and very disturbing * extra fee for room upgrade - extra city tax : 1.5eur/night/person - extra cost for parking : 11eur/day - extra charge for breakfast : 12eur/day/person - room with no electric water kettle, no coffee/tea - complimentary water bottle in the minibar&toiletries; - building with 3 elevators (each fitted for 1 person only with no A/C) - overall, very old furniture+facilities+utilities

Good: Very welcoming staff . Nice size room ; perfectly cleaned . We stayed in room 223 and the view were perfect . Very easy check in/out . Staff are well trained and very welcoming.

Good: I recently stayed at Hotel Rába and had a wonderful experience. The hotel was impeccably clean, and the staff were incredibly attentive and friendly. The highlight of my stay was the breakfast—absolutely delicious with a great variety of options. I will definitely choose them again. Overall, a fantastic place to stay, and I highly recommend it!

Only street parking available, but the room was very clean, bed was very comfortable, breakfast was VERY good.

We like a lot the hotel, its breakfast is perfect for a long day drive. It's already 15 years since first time we discover it and services were always very good.

All positives nicely located adjacent to town centre without being in the party strip. Friendly professional staff and a motel offering everything we cyclists needed.

Good: Location! Great to be in the middle of Győr. We stayed for 8 nights. The superior suite was perfect for the 4 of us. Plenty of space. The balcony was great to sit on and admire the views. Would definitely stay again.

Good: Located in the centre of town within walking distance to shops restaurants and sights. Staff are friendly and polite. I am a returning customer at this hotel and it never disappoints. Bad: In the Sorozo are which is the bar area inside there seemed to be no air con or maybe it was broken so it was too hot but sitting out in the terrace was very pleasant.

Good: The hotel is located very within easy walking distance to the Old Town. We had magnificnet views from our room towards the City Hall and gardens. Plenty of choices to eat at night, including the hotel bar and restaurant.

Good: Room was spacious, with a nice view toward town hall. Very clean. Hotel is right on the downtown area, but very quiet. Staff was very helpful (I forgot my phone charger and cable and they kept it for me for a week, to take it on my way back home; very organized). Bad: everything was good!

Good: Very friendly and helpful personnel. The hotel is very central and Gyor is a wonderful and lively city. From hotel Raba you will have quick access to the main street.

Good: The reception is open 24/7 and staff very helpful. The location is right next to the pedestrial area in Gyor so you have enough to enjoy around.

Good: A period hotel 120 years old but well modernised. Exceptional food in the restaurant. Very good value for money. Prime city centre location. Underground parking is available for the hotel. Beds comfortable and enough wall sockets to charge all those things overnight. Good free WiFi Bad: Way down into underground car park is tight. Glad I had a relatively small car. But not as bad as some of those in Spain!

Good: What a lovely classic hotel close to the town centre and railway station. Comfortable large bed, nice linen, very clean. Lovely breakfast included in our price, which was exceptionally reasonable, half what we normally expect to pay. Gyor was a delightful town, super clean, lovely buildings, by the river, lots of eating places and nice to walk around. A good stop off on route from Vienna to Lake Balaton. Helpful, courteous staff. Definitely recommend. Bad: Nothing.

This is an exceptionally nice hotel. Well maintained and comfortable but not expensive. Great central city location. Underground parking available. Exceptionally nice food for dinner and a lovely breakfast. One of the best hotels I've stayed in for a modest price.

Bad: i expect the double bed.. i ordered that but there was two small beds. they was moving. Next time kindly attached those two beds with some kind of fasteners or hinges.

Good: Good location in the center, easy to find. And public parking is free in the weekends, plenty of spaces. The hotel parking is rather small. Bad: The only downside was that the room was facing the street and the windows weren't very well isolated against the noise. But we did ask for a twin room and booked it 30 minutes before arriving, so can't really complain that it was among the obly ones available and ready.

Bad: Only parking is hard to find!

Good: A standard socialist hotel in the city center, inferior to modern hotels, but not critical. The best choice for your money. Beautiful view from the window. comfortable beds. clear. There's nothing to find fault with

We stayed just one night. It is a cheap hotel for its money. Only the toilets need to be renovated.

Good: It was really great experience. The hotel is in the centre of the city and the rooms were comfortable and cosy. There ware even two pillows per person which made me sleep so well. The restaurant serves really good food. The team working there is exceptionally nice and helpful. They did an extra mile to accommodate my request. All in all, great value for the price.

Good: The room was very large and comfortable. We were very pleased to find also the beds for the children prepared when we arrived, although it was quite late and we had only done the reservation a few hours previously.

Good: An old but very well maintained hotel, large rooms, large and super comfortable beds, large bathrooms, cleanliness grade 7-8, friendly staff. Bad: The arrangement of the balconies, the carpet in the rooms is not washed but only vacuumed.

Very center of the city, public parking in front of the hotel, super clean room, nicely furnished, with everything needed (hair dryer, fridge, safe, good TV, bathtub).

Good: The location is excellent. The only thing I felt was lacking, and that was exactly the reason why we did not go to the restaurant. I am vegetarian my friend is not and the restaurant has nothing to offer vegetarians and my friend refused to go alone or me going with her but she would eat alone. Oh one more thing, the toilet flashes and the hairdryer. The toilet flash is very loud and very old fashioned. The hairdryer is also very old and very slow to dry hair (my hair is down to my waist it takes time to dry it with a powerful dryer but here it took ages. However our stays were good and in the future I would definitely return and recommend the place to my friends. Bad: Beds

Good: Our second stay. The apartment was nice and big. Right in front of the hotel starts the Christmas market. Bad: The guy at reception convinced us to pay for hotel parking, although first we parked for free at the street. He had bad information (or maybe it is a guideline from the boss who knows) and was not very helpful.

Good: Room was decent and warm (December). The location of the hotel was good, especially for car travel (our case). Gyor is a very nice city for a short stay. It seems that it was somehow lost in tourist sense between bigger cities nearby - Vienna, Budapest, Bratislava. Bad: Breakfast can be better. Meat options are very limited.

Good: Comfortable bed. Blackout curtains blocking the light from the outside perfectly. Smart TV in the room. Good breakfast. Great location close to the train station and the city centre.
